The child was put under general anesthesia and Dr L Srinivasan, Medical Director, Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Coimbatore removed the cataract from both the eyes of the baby. The child was able to follow the light the next day itself after the surgery. The parents of the baby were advised to go for vision rehabilitation.
